Having established the Business Creation team at JIBS (www.jibs.se), I'm moving to Stockholm soon to catch much bigger fish. In March, Sweden announced its new policy of trade for regional development and, in June, the Swedish Trade Council asked us to help promote trade in developing regions, especially Africa.
Despite the recession, we're being bombarded by requests from Asia, the Mideast, and other regions to provide educational "capacity-building". Basically, they want JIBS to help create an ecosystem for entrepreneurial education, research, business incubators and trade, a tall task for such a small school that was established in 1994, but we can handle it since we are bold, innovative, and driven, and have 250 partner universities and dozens of business, government and nonprofit friends.
Stockholm is a beautiful city, one of the cleanest in the world, and its professionals are topnotch, so it will be a pleasure working there. JIBS has a kickoff reception on September 25th to launch our global projects.
Onward and upward!
